made them two, husband and wife
why are they stabbing earth with a knife
earth never asked for a strife

flowers, trees and land
man decided to lend a helping hand
not how earth had planned

hectare by hectare man took
the future earth laid out they shook
earth did not look

war was raging on outside
man wanted it all and did not bide
reconciliation earth tried

earth did all to save itself
man decided to put themselves
on the higher shelf

who should put earth first
when man soon will die out of thirst
no fog to be dispersed
